Milestone one
April 2014

ExxonMobil Chemical will remain the global leader with the construction of the world’s largest tackifier plant.

The new hydrogenated tackifier manufacturing facility will expand global supply of high-performance Escorez™ 5000 resin by 90 kiloton per annum (kTA) for hot melt adhesive (HMA) producers worldwide.

The design incorporates a new state-of-the-art hydrogenation reactor system to reliably achieve superior quality resin.

Construction of the new plant is slated to begin in the second half of 2014 in Jurong, Singapore, home to ExxonMobil’s largest integrated petrochemical complex, providing advantaged indigenous feedstock to meet global demand.

This capital investment in new manufacturing and supply capacity demonstrates ExxonMobil Chemical’s ongoing commitment to support formulators’ expansion plans and help capitalize on growing demand for premium, trouble-free, hot melt adhesives.

Completion of the plant is expected in 2017.
